Use The Jars We Give You
At The Mason Baker we have the amazing job of baking and sending mouth watering cakes around Australia. When creating this company it became apparent that we had another duty to fulfil, other than servicing the cravings of those who desperately needed cake. We needed to package our cake in a manner that was going to minimise our impact on the planet and that could be reused over and over by our customers. Our jars are officially 100% recyclable and 100% up-cyclable! We like to call it Jarcycling.
We were amazed by just how much waste is accumulated yearly in food packaging and we didn’t want to be apart of it! This is one of the reasons why we have chosen to package our delicious cakes in a timeless and multifunctional mason jar, hence our name ;).
Mason Jars have made a comeback in recent years and are proving to be beneficial for more than just grandmas lemon butter! They are being found as bathroom organisers, pot plants, candles and even to store spices! I used mine today as a coffee mug. Makeovers for our jars are endless and we want to see how creative you can get with yours once you finish your cake!
We were so excited to see @Glutenfree_in_brisbane Jarcycling her GF Carrot and Candied Pecan Jar. Turning it into a breakfast which left us all drooling.

In fact we loved it so much we began creating our own versions of a yogurt, muesli and fruit jar to take to work. It's so simple and convenient!
1. Once you finish your cake pop the jar in the dishwasher.
2. Fill it with yogurt, toasted muesli and fruit of your choice.
3. Screw on the lid and enjoy a brekky on the go!
Perfect for those busy people and the portion conscious individuals. Hot tip, prepare several in advance for a hassle free start to the week.
